How do I make Bacon Wrapped Green Beans?
This easy low carb side dish only has four ingredients. Fresh green beans, sliced bacon, your favorite low carb steak marinade (Allegro and Dales are gluten free) and a small amount of your preferred brown sugar substitute. I use Swerve Brown Sugar, I do not find it to have a weird after taste. You will also need a few toothpicks to secure your green bean rolls.
To assemble, trim the ends of your green beans and in bundles of 5-7 green beans and wrap with 1/3 of a slice of bacon. Secure your rolls with toothpicks. Depending on how thick they are you may need one or two.
In a small bowl, combine the steak marinade and the brown sugar substitute and mix until the sugar has dissolved. Brush your green bean bundles liberally with the mixture. Heat your grill to 400 degrees. Grill for 3 minutes, then turn and grill for three more minutes. Remove when your bacon is crisp and the green beans are lightly charred.
How to Bake Bacon Wrapped Green Beans
Follow the preparation instructions listed above. Heat your oven to 400 degrees. Bake your green beans for 10-15 minutes, or until your bacon has reached your desired crispiness. Depending on how thick your bundles are, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
