These easy keto-friendly popsicles are simple and quick to make! You’ll need a blender, 6 popsicle sticks, 6 5-ounce cups, and a freezer. Here’s a step-by-step guide for making this strawberry margarita recipe.

Blend margarita

Place all of your ingredients in the blender and give it a whirl! You just want to make sure there are no big chunks of strawberry; the smoother the margarita, the easier the popsicles are to eat.

Pour margaritas

Line up 6 5-ounce cups and pour about 4 ounces of margarita into each one. Get these as even as you can so that they will all be frozen at the same time when you’re ready to serve.

Assemble lime popsicle sticks

Cut and discard the ends of the limes. Cut each lime into three slices (about 1/4″ thick, depends on the size of your limes). Place a slice on the cutting board, then stab the popsicle stick through the center. Push it in 1 1/2-2″, then put in one of the margarita cups. The lime should sit right on top of the margarita. Continue until all cups have lime-skewered popsicle sticks.

Freeze

Transfer cups to the freezer and freeze for 4-6 hours. Once frozen solid, you can serve immediately! If the popsicle doesn’t pull out immediately, gently rub the outsides of the cup with your hands to warm it slightly, then lightly tug the popsicle again.

Store

These popsicles will last 3-6 months, but they have the best flavor and texture the sooner you eat them. If you plan to keep them longer than 2 weeks, place them in a freezer bag to protect them from other freezer smells in the freezer.

  • Test before freezing – Strawberries can range from super sweet to a bit tart, so you want to taste test the margarita before pouring and freezing. Add more lime juice if it’s too sweet, more simple syrup if it’s too tart.
  • Salt just before serving – Salt is tricky because it will cause the popsicle to melt much faster. If you want to salt them, I recommend placing one side of the popsicle (out of the cup) in a plate of salt and then serving immediately. We enjoyed these without salt, so feel free to skip this if you’re worried about melty messes.
  • Change it up – This is a great base recipe that can be tweaked for tasty popsicles no matter your season or vibe! Swap out the strawberries for raspberries or blueberries, maybe use vodka or rum instead of tequila, or use lemon juice instead of lime juice.   • Espresso – You can increase or decrease this based on your preferred coffee strength.
  • Sugar free gingerbread syrup – I used Skinny Syrup’s Gingerbread Latte Syrup. It’s best to start with a small amount and add more if you need.
  • Steamed almond milk – Almond milk can be steamed just like milk for a nice, frothy top with fewer carbs.

How to Make a Keto Latte

This drink is so simple and can be made in no time! There are only 3 easy steps for this amazing keto coffee drink:

Pour the espresso and sugar-free syrup

The most important part of any latte is of course, the coffee! Everyone has their own preferences when it comes to the perfect cup of coffee. Personally, I love a dark roast that is strong, but not too bitter. This is my preferred roast.

For this recipe I suggest two shots of espresso per drink. However, if you would like to limit your caffeine this recipe will also work with a single shot. Simply pour the double shots of espresso in your cup and add the sugar free gingerbread syrup.

Pour steamed milk

Use the steamer wand on your espresso machine, or a stand alone milk frother and froth 6 ounces of milk or almond milk until it reaches your desired consistency. Divide the milk and froth among the two glasses.

Serve

Garnish your latte if desired. This is excellent with cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice sprinkled on top! You can also serve this latte with a keto cookie for a real treat!

  • Coffee – This is best with fresh, warm coffee.
  • Bourbon Whiskey – It doesn’t have to be the expensive stuff for this to turn out tasty!
  • Sugar free caramel syrup – I’ve seen this at Kroger, Walmart, TJMaxx, Target, and more. They’ve got a classic and a salted version; I imagine both would be great, but I used the classic.
  • Steamed heavy cream – You can also use half-and-half, but I have only done the carb calculations using heavy cream

I also garnished the mug with a Keto Caramel Sauce — It’s not necessary, but it is SO delicious! It only requires allulose, heavy cream, butter, and vanilla extract. It’s easy to meal prep and have in the fridge for a quick craving.

How do I make this caramel latte?

The most complicated thing about this latte is steaming the heavy cream! Beyond that, the drink itself is so simple — No shaker or fancy things needed. Just pour your coffee, whiskey, syrup, and steamed cream into the cup. Stir and serve!

Because I love a garnished glass, I poured Keto Caramel Sauce (you could use store bought or even a sugar free chocolate sauce) on the inside edge of your glass, tilting it so it drips down to coat the inside of your glass.

Tips for the best caramel coffee

  • Add toppings! This Keto Caramel Sauce is one of my absolute favorites and it would be amazing with this recipe.
  • Don’t skip the step of adding the sauce to the inside of your cup. Not only does this look impressive, it adds another layer of sweetness to your drink!
  • You want your coffee to be warm for this keto drink, so all of the ingredients will blend well together.
  • Make this drink to your personal preferences! If you only want a little whiskey, don’t add the full amount. Or if you prefer more sweetness to your drink, add more syrup. If you add more heavy cream, you’ll make this drink even more indulgent. It’s all up to what you want!

Can I make this sugar free coffee with decaf?

Yes, absolutely. If you are sensitive to caffeine or you just prefer decaf, you can easily use decaf in this recipe. This is a great nightcap recipe, so if you’re planning on enjoying this before bed, decaf would be ideal!

Here’s how you make sugar free simple syrup- stir one tablespoon of the liquid monk fruit into one cup of water. That’s it! The simple syrup can be used immediately and can be stored in the fridge or on your counter. Alternatively, you can also make a simple syrup by dissolving 1 1/4 cup of allulose into 1 cup water! This results in a thicker syrup and has less of an aftertaste than monk fruit. It’s a great option as well!

  • Customize it! I love raspberries, but I also think that peaches would be fantastic in this cocktail. Adding peaches will change the carb count, so keep that in mind.

  • Only skip the mint if you really have to! The flavor from the fresh mint leaves add a great depth of flavor that really brings all the elements of this drink together.

This sugar free limeade has a delicate floral aroma that is complimented by the strawberries. Add in the vodka and soda water and this tastes just like a limeade from your favorite restaurant, but without the carbs! You can enjoy this low carb alcoholic drink for only 3.2 net carbs!   • Lime juice – Fresh or bottled is fine. If you prefer lemonade over limeade, swap for lemon juice.
  • Sugar Free Strawberry Rose Syrup – You can find this on Amazon, but I’ve also had good luck finding them at T.J. Maxx!
  • Strawberries – If you wanted to reduce the carbs further, these can be left out.
  • Vodka – Your favorite brand will be fine; no need to get fancy unless you want to!
  • Soda water – If you have a Soda Stream and want to make your soda water strawberry or lime flavored, you could get a bolder flavor!

How do I make this Strawberry Limeade?

This rose vodka drink is ready in only 3 easy steps!

  1. Muddle the strawberries, lime juice and syrup in the bottom of your glass.
  2. Add ice and top with vodka and soda water.
  3. Stir and top with a fun strawberry or lime garnish!

What does ‘muddle’ mean?

Muddling means to gently mash ingredients in a cocktail. So for this vodka limeade, you will muddle together the strawberries, lime juice and syrup. You can use a cocktail meddler to make the process a little smoother.
 

Substitutions for this low carb alcoholic drink

  • If you want to make this a vodka lemonade, swap out the lime juice for lemon juice!
  • You can switch out the rose syrup for this Blueberry Lavender flavor, then muddle blueberries for a fun blue/purple drink!
  • If you don’t like vodka or want to make this a mocktail, leave out the vodka. This cocktail is still incredibly delicious without the alcohol. Just replace the amount with soda water.
  • To cut more carbs from this drink, don’t add the strawberries. The syrup has a lovely strawberry flavor on its own… It’s not as bold this way, but it’s still tasty.
  • Some people don’t like the strawberry pieces in their drink. Instead, make the drink in a shaker instead of your cup, then strain before pouring into your glass.

  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 1 ounce Sugar Free Strawberry Rose Syrup (link in notes)
  • 2 strawberries
  • 2 ounces vodka (optional -- It's also delicious to leave it out and fill with soda water)
  • 3-6 ounces of soda water

Instructions

  1. Muddle strawberries with lime juice and syrup at the bottom of a glass.
  2. Fill glass with ice, then top with vodka (if using) and soda water.
  3. Stir and top with a strawberry or lime garnish!


If you don't like chunks of strawberries, feel free to strain the strawberry mixture after muddling, discarding of the actual strawberry pieces.

This creamy, sweet, delicious Vanilla Cream Soda is the perfect sugar-free drink to brighten up someone’s day! Perfect for birthday parties and showers, this simple drink will give you the classic old-fashioned soda shop flavor without packing on the sugar.

Did you know that cream soda is actually incredibly easy to make at home?! I had no idea… I imagined that me going sugar-free was the end of me enjoying the melted-milkshake flavor of cream soda. Thankfully, sugar-free syrup, soda water, and a little cream makes it possible to enjoy without an ounce of guilt! This is cheaper and more delicious than the store bought, too.

This beverage also has a lot of beautiful possibilities if you’re trying to work with a party theme! A tiny amount of food coloring added to your syrup will help make gorgeous hues without changing the flavor. Or you can offer a rainbow of possibilities by adding a menu of flavors like raspberry, blackberry, apple, and more! As long as you can find a sugar-free syrup in your preferred flavor (or an extract you can add to a homemade sugar-free syrup), you can easily create the drink of your dreams!

If you’d like, you can easily make this an alcoholic beverage as well. A shot of vodka works perfectly, and a shot of whiskey with a bit of caramel syrup instead of vanilla is absolutely amazing! The opportunities are endless here.

How to make Vanilla Cream Soda without sugar

Cream soda is incredibly easy! You need some sparkling water (I use my Soda Stream), a sweet sugar-free syrup, and heavy cream or half and half. Fill a tall glass with ice, pour all the ingredients in, and mix until the glass is frosty and the cream is well-mixed.

You can try this with homemade or store bought sugar-free syrups, too! This makes cream soda a convenient, easy, and fun drink for a delicious treat!

Sugar Free Syrup

Sugar-Free syrups are extremely popular! They can be used to add to cocktails, coffees, and now soda to create flavorful drinks. My two favorite brands are Torani and Jordan’s Skinny Syrups. However, these store-bought syrups do have sucralose, and some people have reported that this has kicked them out of ketosis.

Luckily, you can get around this by making your own! You can make your own flavored simple syrup (using liquid monk fruit sweetener or allulose), then include that in your cream soda. It might take a little trial and error, but this is the perfect way to add some fun variety to your keto or sugar free lifestyle!

Tips for the BEST Sugar Free Cream Soda

  • Don’t be afraid to test the measurements for yourself! You may prefer more or less syrup, more or less cream.
  • Try different flavors! Torani and Jordan’s Skinny Syrups are two popular brands that carry sugar-free syrups. They come with fruity flavors, unique colorful flavors, fun fancy combinations, and delicious coffee-flavored syrups that are great for kids who want to copy adult coffee drinks without the caffeine!
  • Make fresh — Do not make ahead of time. The fizz of the sparkling water, the thick heavy cream, and the sweet syrup are all at their best right when you pour and mix them with ice!
  • Try with half and half instead of heavy cream. If you need a lighter beverage but still want the creamy texture, swap out the heavy cream with half and half! If you just want an Italian soda, skip the dairy completely.

Smoky bourbon, vinegary pickle juice, and tangy lime juice are all evened out with a homemade sugar-free simple syrup. It’s a well-balanced cocktail that is great to serve with a lot of bar food, grilled dishes, and meaty meals. It’s a great option for those who normally don’t like overly sweet or fruity drinks!

While I used dill pickle juice, you could easily use the juice from bread and butter pickles, spicy pickles, or whatever type you prefer. When you finish a jar of pickles, it’s easy to freeze the juice in ice cube trays, then you can thaw just enough for cocktails whenever you’d like! 

Because this isn’t a frozen drink and doesn’t include soda water, you can mix it up ahead of time, then serve on the rocks whenever you’re ready. Make a big jug of it and take for parties, camping, potlucks, tailgating, and more!

How to make a Pickleback sugar free

This drink is very straightforward! Simply put the whiskey, pickle juice, lime juice, and sugar free simple syrup into a shaker with ice. Shake for about 30 seconds before straining over ice with a pickle garnish.

How to make sugar free simple syrup

Keto Simple Syrup is incredibly easy to make! I’ve had success using two different ways — One using liquid monk fruit sweetener and one using allulose sweetener! I did not have success making simple syrup by dissolving any erythritol-based products (like Swerve or monk fruit sweeteners that contain erythritol). The erythritol will begin to crystalize as it cools down, so it’s not great for mixed drinks.

Simple Syrup with Allulose:

Bring 1 1/4 cup of allulose and 1 cup of water to a boil and stir until allulose has dissolved. Let cool completely, then store in an airtight container in the fridge up to a month. This syrup has very little aftertaste and is thicker like normal simple syrup.

Simple Syrup with Liquid Monk Fruit:

Pour about 1 tablespoon of liquid monk fruit sweetener into 1 cup of water. Adjust a few drops at a time until you’ve reached your taste preference. This syrup is fairly inexpensive to make, you don’t have to bother heating up and cooling down the syrup before using it, and it makes the sweetness of your drinks to be easily adjustable.

How many carbs in whiskey?

There are zero carbs in bourbon. The danger of a whiskey cocktail usually resides in the mixers often tossed in the glass with it. However, if you can make sure to use sugar free simple syrup and choose low-carb additions, you can enjoy several bourbon cocktails without consuming too many carbs. This Keto Mint Julep has 0 net carbs (and only 0.1 total carbs)!

Why drink pickle juice on keto?

Often, people on the keto diet will recommend drinking pickle juice and eating pickles. It’s a great source of potassium and sodium, and those electrolytes are important to healthy body functions. The vinegar in pickle juice can also help curb sugar spikes, helping you stay in ketosis. The fermentation from the pickling process helps introduce more healthy bacteria into the gut, helping ease digestive issues, too!

Obviously, this keto cocktail is for fun, not for health. But it is nice to get in a little healthy boost whenever you can!

What to serve with a Pickleback drink

This is the ideal drink for juicy cookout food! For the ultimate keto tailgate, enjoy the briny drink with a Keto Bacon Cheeseburger, this Chicken Bacon Ranch Chaffle Sandwich, or these Keto Steak Wraps. Add some Smoked Queso and some Bacon Wrapped Green Beans, and you’re good to go! It’d be great with some brats or this Sausage Sheet Pan Dinner, too.
